ILala Weavers

Ilala Weavers, located in the small village of Hluhluwe, in northern Kwazula-Natal, offers crafts made by the Zulu people.  The baskets are the best that we have seen in Africa.

Deciding on which, of the hundreds of baskets to buy was a chore.

Packing the baskets into an already full car was another chore.  The baskets had to be put into the trailer after packing them with dirty laundry and anything else that we could.  Our luggage had to be moved from the trailer to the space reserved for the dogs.  The dogs had to be put on top of the baggage.  In the end, all was good.
