Journal of This Southern Africa Adventure

Our tour has ended and it is now early May and we are back in New Jersey, USA reminiscing about our three week safari in northern Botswana and Namibia.

After our Namibia trip we went back to Pretoria for a day, saw some friends and then proceeded to Singapore. We had purchased an Around-the-World ticket and were traveling east to get back to NJ. Out of Singapore we visited Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia but that is another story. However, after experiencing the traffic in this part of Asia, I must take back everything that I said about South African drivers. They are not, by far, the worse drivers in the world after all.
With the Around-the-World ticket, originating from Jo'berg we are entitled to return to South Africa within the year. So even though this tour has ended, we do hope to make it back there and enjoy some additional adventures in southern Africa. Until that time, we will miss it
