Melmoth

In northern Kwazulu-Natal is a small town called Melmoth located about an hour from Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Park.  It is in an area surrounded by sugar cane and timber plantations.  We stayed in a log cabin with a thatched roof next to a pond, in the midst of a sugar cane field.

The dogs (Chopper and Keiko) and Bessy ran wild,

... and Miguel walked wild.

We drove through some very rural areas on the way to Hluhluwe.  There were several villages whose inhabitants obviously led the good life.
