Victoria Falls


The trip to Victoria falls was on a small and old 747.   Service was very good that similar to what you would find on any flight within the U.S.  The Victoria Falls airport, shown in part below was small, but not too small to handle all of the visitor traffic to the area.

There are about 20 hotels in the immediate area around Victoria Falls.   These hotels range from very luxurious 4 star hotels to tented camps on the Zambezi River.

The falls themselves are spectacular are much bigger than what the pictures depict here.

The mist from the falls in the distance spells danger to our canoe trip...

... but not as dangerous as these elephants.

This elephant (see below) came out of the brush as we were loading the canoes.  It did not like our presence.  Elephants seem to walk around freely in this area.  They are not kept within the confines of a park.
